Great place. Really good food that tastes amazing. Love the lunches and tropical smoothie. Great coffee too. Lots of gluten free options. Really friendly staff. Definitely the best place in Middlesbrough for lunch and a coffee stop.

Amazing vegan cafe in the heart of Middlesbrough, providing the freshest and healthiest ingredients that planet Earth has to offer. Their menu is nothing short of exceptional and everything is prepared on the day. The food is so colourful, beautifully presented, filling, nutritious and full of protein. Anna and Luke who run the cafe are also the nicest and loveliest people that you will ever meet, they greet you with a smile and make you feel very welcome. The service is excellent and I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone!

Really lovely lunch at Alkaline, friendly staff, small space but really welcoming and relaxed environment. The person out front could chat to anyone. The food was good, and everything else i saw looked great, all healthy, well-balanced meals. Smoothie was also excellent. Coffee spot on.
